Featuring Hugo Distler’s captivating variations on Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming, this program weaves these timeless themes with readings from the Christmas story, from prophetic visions to the reverence of the shepherds and wise ones, alongside choral responses by Howells, Rutter, Holst, Pärt, and others. Käthe joins the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra on organ for another collaboration with Glenn Memorial UMC’s Chancel Choir in their performance of Mozart’s Solemn Vespers, led by conductor Michael Dauterman. The DSO will also perform Copland’s Appalachian Spring, Barber’s Canzonetta for Oboe and Strings featuring Emily Brebach, oboe, and Donizaetti’s English Horn Concertino featuring Emily Brebach, English Horn and led by Music Director Paul Bhasin. Under the direction of Michael Dauterman, the Glenn Chancel Choir will offer Maurice Duruflé sublime setting of the Requiem Mass liturgically in morning worship for All Saint’s Day. Käthe will feature as the accompanist, playing the notoriously rich and challenging “organ-only” version of the work.

Käthe joins Minister of Music Will Buthod and the choir of Holy Trinity Parish, Decatur in their liturgical presentation of Fauré’s beautiful Requiem for their All Soul’s Day service, in an orchestration for strings and organ.

Käthe is pleased to return to the site of her first organ scholarship in beautiful Cornwall to present a concert on the Cathedral’s Father Willis organ as part of their lunchtime series. She will play music by Arakelyan, Howells, Neswick, Rowley, and Vierne.

Käthe is delighted to return to the UK to perform in Lichfield Cathedral’s recital series. Lichfield’s instrument can be considered a cousin to that of Peterborough Cathedral, which Käthe grew to know intimately during her year there as Organ Scholar. She will play music by Arakelyan, Howells, Neswick, Rowley, and Vierne.

Käthe is excited to perform as one of the three featured artists at the 4th annual Reuter Organ Festival, held at the Cathedral of St. John in Albuquerque New Mexico. Tickets for this concert can be purchased here.

As an extended prelude to the Good Friday service at Glenn Memorial UMC, Käthe will offer a short liturgical recital at 6:30pm, featuring meditative music based on the themes of the Passion.

Käthe is excited to offer an organ recital on her home instrument, the 1982 Casavant Op. 3529. This is an opportunity for the people of Glenn and the wider Druid Hills and Decatur communities to explore the varied colors and capabilities of this wonderful organ, which was recently used to accompany the Memorial Service for First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Käthe will play music from different centuries and different countries, so there will be something for everyone. Admission is free!

Käthe is delighted to offer a concert on the III-manual, 42-rank Op. 11 Parkey pipe organ at FPC Gainesville, as part of their 2023-2024 Fine Arts Series. She will play works by Bach, Boulay, Carter, Demessieux, Langlais, Mendelssohn, and Pierné.

With thanks to resident musicians Michael Rintamaa and Grant Holcomb for their hospitality, Käthe is honored to play on the dedicatory organ series celebrating the renovation of the historic Central Christ Church’s 1960 Holtkamp Organ into an expanded and refurbished instrument. She will present music by Arakelyan, Bach, Diemer, Foote, Persichetti, and Vierne.

Käthe is delighted to join Kinnara, the prestigious professional chamber choir, in their Christmas concert as one of their sopranos. This concert is part of the choir’s celebratory Fifteenth Anniversary Season.

Käthe joins the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, conductor Dr. Paul Bhasin, and the choir of Glenn Memorial UMC as featured soloist in Saint-Saëns’ ‘Organ’ Symphony, as well as John Rutter’s Gloria and other music. Käthe is pleased to join the EYSO for another performance, this time of Holst’s The Planets. Under the direction of Dr. Paul Bhasin, Käthe will play Daniel Jaeckel’s Op.45 organ in Emory’s Emerson Concert Hall. The EYSO will also perform Wagner’s Prelude to Act III, Lohengrin. This concert is free and requires no ticket.

As course organist, Käthe accompanies the participants of the 2023 RSCM America Carolina Course, held in Duke University’s glorious chapel. This year’s course is led by conductor Matthew Owens. The closing Eucharist and Evensong will feature music by Jonathan Dove, George Dyson, Cecilia McDowall, Roxanna Panufnik, and more.

As part of the first full day of the 2023 conference of the Anglican Association of Musicians (AAM), Käthe will perform a recital on Christ the King’s Juget-Sinclair organ. Featuring works by Bach, Boulanger, Carter, French, and Widor.

Käthe performs music by Bach, Boulay, and Jessica French as part of Peachtree Road’s Midday Music In May series, on the Great Organ. Admission is free.

As an extended prelude to the Good Friday service at Glenn Memorial UMC, Käthe will offer a short liturgical recital at 6:30pm, featuring meditative music based on the themes of the Passion by Bach, Carter, and Demessieux. Glenn’s somber Good Friday service follows at 7pm. A livestream will be available via Glenn’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Käthe joins the Chancel Choir and Orchestra of Glenn Memorial UMC on both chamber organ and harpsichord for Bach’s epic setting of the Passion of Christ, according to John.

Käthe will play an organ recital preceding Lenten Evensong at Nashville’s Christ Church Cathedral on the Lively-Fulcher organ, featuring works by Bach, Andrew Carter, Demessieux, Howells, and Whitlock. A reception will follow the service.

Käthe will offer an Advent organ recital on the Alston Memorial Pipe Organ at St. Luke’s Atlanta, which is followed by Choral Evensong with the Choristers of Canterbury Court. A reception follows in J. Coleman Budd Hall.

Käthe is thrilled to be featured as a recitalist at Atlanta’s Episcopal Cathedral, where she regularly sings for weekly Evensong with the Cathedral Schola, under the direction of Canon for Music, Dr. Dale Adelmann. Her program will feature the little-performed Prelude to Gerald Finzi’s Requiem da Camera (1924), in a transcription by the recently departed Francis Jackson, OBE. She will also play works by Brewer, Howells, contemporary British composer Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, and Percy Whitlock, all on the Cathedral’s glorious Aeolian-Skinner instrument.

Käthe joins the talented choirs of Harrison HS and director Megan Schuitema as guest accompanist for their Fall Concert, featuring works by Jonathan Dove, Fauré, Haydn, Lauridsen, Mathias, Mendelssohn, and Vivaldi.

Käthe is pleased to be giving an organ recital following Evensong on Sunday afternoon at the historic Saint Thomas Church. Käthe participated in the Saint Thomas Girl Chorister Course from 2008-2013, and so it is especially meaningful to her to perform on this Sunday afternoon series. Her program will feature works by Boulanger, Brewer, Howells, Persichetti, and Widor, all on the Miller-Scott organ.

Käthe joins the SSA and director Andrew Schmidt to accompany the final concert, featuring English choral masterworks: Benjamin Britten: Rejoice in the Lamb, Handel: Zadok the Priest, Ireland: Greater Love Hath No Man, Stanford: Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis in G Major, Elgar: Great is the Lord & Lux Aeterna

The Summer Singers of Atlanta was created in 1990 by founded William O. Baker as Atlanta’s “original summer chorus.” No audition is required for membership. Adult and mature youth are welcomed from all walks of life and from every level of music experience and interests in the chorus that averages between 100 and 150 members each year. Singers have traveled to Midtown Atlanta from as far as Savannah, Georgia, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Charlotte, North Carolina to be a part of weekly rehearsals in preparation of a grand choral masterwork performed with orchestra.

Weekly Monday night rehearsals begin June 6 and continue until the performance on August 6th  Novice singers are supported by the many music professionals and well-trained singers that are attracted to the opportunity to sing immortal works with professional soloists and top-notch orchestra musicians in an environment focused on learning.  Across the three decades of the Summer Singers of Atlanta, both critics and audiences have marveled at the artistic excellence achieved in a truly community setting.

The girls and adults of the 2022 RSCM Carolina Course will offer Evensong in Duke University’s beautiful chapel, led by Music Director Robert Poovey. At this service, the choir will premiere Käthe’s new set of Preces and Responses (look out for information about obtaining a published copy soon).

The choir of Epiphany Seattle will offer a service of choral evensong, featuring the music of Kenneth Leighton, William Mathias, and Herbert Howells, conducted by Director of Music Zach Hemenway and accompanied by Käthe on Epiphany’s Noack organ.

Käthe joins British organist John Hosking (DoM at Holy Trinity, Southport, and Organist at Blackburn Cathedral from September) to share an hour-long recital as part of John’s online recital series, Great Organ Sounds at 8pm BST (3pm EDT, 2pm Central).
